Settings
Configure Deck startup behavior, metrics collection, and data - and what IT can lock
Accessing settings
Open the Settings page from the sidebar to configure Deck's behavior. Any setting your administrator has enforced through Group Policy is locked and shows a managed by IT indicator.
Startup
- Start with Windows - launch Deck automatically when you sign in. This writes the
VediramDeckauto-start entry that launches the Core daemon. Locked when theAutoStartpolicy is set. - Start minimized - start in the system tray instead of opening the main window.
Metrics
- Polling interval - how often the daemon samples add-in metrics (default 5 minutes). Locked when the
PollingIntervalpolicy is set. See Metrics.
Data
- Database location - the SQLite database is stored at
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Vediram\Deck\deck.db(or the folder set by theDatabaseFolderpolicy). This isn't changed from the UI. - Clear data - reset the local database and force a full re-scan of add-ins. Your profiles are recreated from the current registry state, so custom profiles are lost; the Original baseline is re-captured. Use this to recover from a corrupt or stale inventory.
Reset application
Resetting returns Deck to a first-run state: it clears local data and rebuilds the inventory. It does not change add-in LoadBehavior values already written to the registry - activate the Original profile first if you want to revert add-in state. See Profiles.
About
- Version - the installed Deck version.
- Check for updates - confirm whether you're on the latest release. Deck has no auto-updater; updates are delivered by reinstalling the newer MSI (see Updates & Uninstall).
Administrators
The policies that lock these controls - AutoStart, PollingInterval, and the Folders overrides - are documented in the Policy Reference.
